The concept of ‘planetary boundaries’ is a concept introduced by Johan Röckstrom and colleagues. It is not an index, but a set of 7 environmental themes where the biophysical limits of our planet are threatened.
A tenth planetary boundary was recently announced -- and we have already crossed it.
This makes 8 of 10 crossed. Let this sink in. It is such an important foundation for any reality checks you might do about future health and viability for the human species.
